april showers

I'm trying to get all caught up on all my editing, so I've got lots of blog posts coming up over the next few days.

I took these yesterday afternoon. Kate was running around the house in her t-shirt and diaper cover. When she pulled on her rain boots, her little "outfit" made me giggle! I pulled out the umbrella I'd bought for her, and out she went to play in the rain, sans pants. :)

Kate was SO excited about her new "rainbrella!" She wasn't too concerned about keeping it over her head, though!

Hope these make you smile!

These are too precious for words! Beautiful processing too. How did you keep from getting your camera wet?

Thanks, Liesl! I held an umbrella, too. It was really hard to hold that heavy camera and try to toggle focus points one-handed! I have seen a simple rain sleeve on Adorama for just $6 or so. That would be better!

These are such a beautiful capture of childhood! Couldn't help but notice she's wearing a big sister tee! Not sure if that's a message or just a t-shirt - ha!

NOT a message! HA! This was a shirt given to her when Caroline was born.

Thanks, Kati! I grabbed the step ladder from the garage for those!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these photos!!! A photo truly is worth a thousand words and these photos will be keepsakes for Kate when she is older! Beautiful processing!

Ha ha! Had to ask!

These are SO awesome! Did you take these with your 35mm? btw, Isabella has the same umbrella. :)

Thanks, Judy! No... I used my 50. I had to stand on a step ladder to get those overhead shots, whereas w/ my 35 I probably wouldn't have needed any extra height. That's okay, though... standing on the ladder got her attention a little!
